Shippies is a magical place, after not breaking for 6 months it broke 6 times in the last 6 weeks, 3 of which were in one week. My good mate Shaun Dickson came down for the last swell.  I was hoping for a quiet session with not many people coming down, but after the huge swell we had on Thursday everyone was wanting a piece of the action. It was an all star show with the likes of Josh Kerr, Kody Abberton, Mark Mathews , Dean Morrison joining the local boys in fighting it out for the bomb sets.

I wasn’t too fust about towing as I was content after my last session,  so I just had a paddle with the local lads, after a couple of hours it was Shaun’s turn behind the rope so I paddled into the channel to watch. It’s an amazing feeling watching your mate surf the Stern for the first time. I was so amped on it, watching the concentration on Shaun’s face as he approached the step was priceless.  As usual Shaun was straight in tune with the waves, nailing some perfect 10 footers.
