A group of good lads and I decided to go on a 3 day boat trip to one of the most fickle yet best surf spots in oz. It was a gamble as shippies was going to be firing, but the idea of surfing something new was way more inviting. The first few days were small but the last day turn on with only us out. It was the most perfect size to paddle but we opted to tow, as  4 Great whites were spotted in the region the day before.  Screw sitting in one off the shakiest lines up in the world with sets only coming in every 15 minutes.  I would just like to thank Jeff,  Sam and James for making everything happen! legends!

Sorry for the slow posts been on a bit of a mission recently surfing all over Australia and scoring amazing waves! A day after landing I got the call that shippies would be on, so I flew over to get the ball rolling. Arriving at the airport I realise that everyone was on to this swell, I had even heard words of Mr Slater coming down.

Sure enough whilst waiting for the boat at 5 in the morning Kelly rocked up with his support group of Filmer’s etc.  It was a pretty amazing experience to see and share the line up with the best surfer in the world. He had an amazing attitude and  slotted in perfectly with the crew being really grateful to the tassie lads for the experience.  The waves wear in the 8 to 12 foot range with the odd bigger tow wave coming through every hour.  It would have been wicked to have seen Kelly nailing the step, I hope next time he comes down she steps it up a gear!
